Worth It
Spent: $100 in Houston, TX

I didn't want to pay the price of Latisse, or for a doctor visit, so I bought the generic (bimatoprost). It's the same stuff and my lashes are AMAZING. Everyone has noticed and they all are using it now.

It took a good 2 1/2 months to see some results, but it's worth it. After 4 months, my lashes are super long. Shipping is a little expensive on the website (24.99) but you can buy as many bottles as you want with no prior prescription. Plus each bottle (3ml) lasts me 3 months! If you want long lashes without the high price tag, it's the way to go.

Updated on Nov 3, 2009:

I also want to add that the first two weeks of using the product, my eyes were a little red, but it went away permanently. I also have had the skin on the lids nearest to the lash line darken slightly, but it just looks like a light eye shadow liner, and I actually like it! I put this product on my lower lashes as well, and skin darkening is not obvious there at all. I have green/hazel eyes, and no color change to them whatsoever.

My Doctor: Name not provided

It's cheap at $10.50 a bottle!!!

Your lashes look great! But where did you purchase?

Congrats on your lashes... I've been using it for three weeks and I am not sure if I see results or if my mind is playing tricks on me because I want to see results, lol... I did notice that you said it took a good 2.5 months before you noticed a difference. That makes me fell better because I am sure when all of us start using it, deep down inside we are thinking what if this does not work etc... so your comment of how it took more than two months reassures me that i have to be patient! Can you take more pics of your lashes up close! They look great! Thanks!

Hi bebe4u27, The website that the poster ordered from is {edit}. I've ordered from them also and they are great! I was hesitant to order from a foreign pharmacy, but so far no problems at all. I'm not sure where you are, but it takes about 2-3 weeks to have products shipped to the US. Hope this helps! Melanie

Thank you mel7798, I saw that, but wasn't sure if that was where she would not recomend. Cute pic by the way! Thanks for info.

I don't know why it says I don't reccomend it...I'll try and change that! {edit} is the best! I thought they seemed shady at first too, but I've ordered a lot from them now, and never have a problem. I'll try and post more pics of the lashes, but it will take a full 3.5 to 4 months for full results, so keep applying and be patient :)

I'm waiting to get an email from you all:)

Okay, you just answered my question. That "I don't recommend" statement freaked me out a bit. I think I'm going to order it. I've been on the fence for about a month now. However, a bald spot on my lash line this week has pushed me OVER the line. Thanks for your input:)

Hi Diane! It sounds like you have been contemplating getting Latisse or the other brand for a month, I am correct? I think you should, you have nothing to loose and from the ratings it is the best thing out there and works on a large percent of the population. Good luck on your lash journey!

Hi! Amazing lashes! I'm looking on the {edit} site... Is the Careprost at $10 a bottle what I'm looking for? And is this an eye drop, or what I put on my lashes? Does it come with instructions? Thanks!

Hi I just started using latisse and it was so expensive. How come you can buy that without a prescription?
msbel (1 post) 27 Sep 2009

Where do you get the applicators? I can not seem to find them on the {edit} website.

lol...too funny!

Yes, i would lOVE to have longer lashes, but i love my baby blues even more more... and the abilility to register objects in front of me :) also, i did more reading and learned that application of this prostaglandin (yes it IS a prostaglandin) can also decrease orbital fat resulting in hollowing of eyes. i'll just stick to mascara.
miskerb (10 posts) 29 Sep 2009
Yes, It is called Careprost. I use a lip liner brush, with a drop of the solution on my lashes, so try a beauty supply store. It is an eye drop bottle, so just put a drop on a small make-up brush and swipe accross top of lash line. Try to not get it in your eyes though. You don't need a perscription because it's from India.
