“Amazing Breast Reduction Surgery (Age 27)”
I had pain all over - not just my back or neck or shoulders, but all over my upper body, and mostly my intercostal muscles. I was so disproportioned and uncomfortable all the time.
I was larger than I wanted to be since I was about 10 - and at 27, I finally had the surgery. It has been the best decision of my entire life. Granted, I'm only 10 days post surgery and I'm at the beginning of my recovery, but I feel great.
I took Arnica two days before my surgery and have been taking it since - the bruising and swelling has been minimal. And, the pain has been so minimal, I have not taken any pain meds. Nothing more than what they gave me while I was in surgery. None in the IV. No pills at the hospital. No pills from my Rx. It's amazing.
How long til the dissolvable stitches dissolve? And, when should I remove the tape? My Dr said to shower and the tape should work itself off - but it's pretty heavy duty - I think it'll need some help, but I don't want to mess with it too early. This review is the subjective opinion of a RealSelf member and not of RealSelf, Inc.

I would be inclined to leave it (unless we're talking about months! :) Do you have any follow-up appointments coming up? She might remove it then anyway, if it's time.
to ch2hands................from a fellow spokanite. I actually live a little west of spokane. Would you share your doc's name with me? I am much older than you (63), but the same problem. I was a DD when I was in grade school, needless to say, now, at a KK cup, I am wondering if a reduction surgery is the way to go. Laser Bra surgery is an appealing method, I do not know of a spokane surgeon who does this, however. Your pain sounds so familiar, I am sorry. thanks Kathleen.
