I had a mini tummy tuck on Feb 13, 2009 with lipo & Muscle Repair (MR) due to a hernia.
My Plastic Surgeon (PS) did not use drains and did not move my Belly Button (BB).

I swelled up HUGE after surgery and had to be aspirated (drained) 3 times. Now I am left with lots of wrinkles in my skin! I still have swelling. I don't think he pulled tight enough and I think he should have maybe done a full TT.

ADVICE?!?! I have NEVER seen anyone look the way I do.

My Doctor: name not provided

My PS is very calm and easy going, an overall nice person but doesn't get too excited or concerned about anything. He pleasantly told me "there is a 50/50 chance that your wrinkles might go away". I told him I hadn't seen anyone like me and he said "there are women out there like you".

I am so sorry what has happened to you. I have a very similar situation- I had a tt three months after my last child in Jan 2006. I also went in for a hernia repair and had my tt too. I also did not have any drains used and they later drained it by syringe-lovely Anyways- I am years post-op and to my dismay still have the fullness between my bb and my scar- I do not know what it is - I have done countless searches- I too have never seen aything like what we show- I am a member on this site and have pics- I was not overweight as I see you are not-let me know if you find out anything and I will keep you updated as well. Thanks for the post- hope you feel better soon!!!

Roni, I'm so sorry you are unhappy. You look beautiful. You are still healing and your stomach will change some more. With that said, though, I do think you should have had a full TT, and maybe more importantly, had drains. You should post your pics and question on the Q & A section for the doctors to answer. It is very likely they will tell you a Full TT may still be necessary. If you have a before pic, it may be good to include that, too. I wish you the best of luck.

If you really want a flat stomach you have to have a full TT. I did and my stomach is so flat, no wrinkles at all. I also had a hernia, now I have a new flat belly button. I have pics up if you want to take a look. I have three kids, but you would never know now. Good luck!

i think a full tummy tuck would have been the right choice. i have not gotten it done, but will around christmas time. but since you had a mini tummy tuck done, it seems like they took off too much skin and had to pull the skin form the side to the center to close up the opening, therefore the wrinkling occurs. if you talk to your doctor, maybe he will give you a great deal and go ahead and give you the full tummy tuck and a lower price since he was probably the one who suggested the mini tuck, and as surgeons they are supposed to take measures as better safe than sorry. i know it cost you a lot of money, but i would definitely talk to your surgeon and see what he can do. besides that your body does look beautiful, better than mine for sure! haha

Wow, I am surprised by that here I am surfing the net about tummy tuck stuff. I had mine done 10 days ago a full TT. I am not satisfied either and seems there is issues with mine as well. Cannot believe what some surgeons promise and thousands of dollars later you are left with crap thats for the most part permanent. Yours does not look at all that bad and looks like you can get your desired results by simply having a redo. Make sure they put your TT scar at your pubic line cause mine is an inch higher and it sticks out of my bikini line :( really upset so go over everything you want. You have a nice body truly and that doctor should not have done that. It should be art but instead they just make the situation worse. Thank you for posting and Good Luck in your goals for success.

I got lipo a year before my FTT and that is what my stomach looked like. It looks like you still have enough loose skin that you would be able to get a FTT. I would find a really good doctor and get it redone.
