Ry Central, NJ Mar 31, 2008 Cost: $180 Pain: Painfree
Botox provider: Not specified
I usually get 30 units for my brow ridge which has lots of stress lines from work/school.
***You can usually find doctors on craigslist who are being trained in botox who give botox "at cost" at $6 a unit. They are supervised by licensed trainers!**
I got my entire forehead for 180 when it should have been over 300. Some places will also offer botox parties at their office one night a month where prices may drop to $10/unit.
The pinch from botox is less painful than getting your eyebrow. The feeling is almost IDENTICAL to getting a coffee stir straw and pressing it to your forehead.

I do not believe in discounts, I do not believe in Botox parties and neither do most qualified, ethical doctors who regularly perform cosmetic injections. Botox, like other injectables have risks and there is a price for the years of training, the expertise of the injector and your safety. A doctor who is training, whether under the supervision of a skilled doctor or not, still pays the same price for genuine Botox he or she buys as does any other doctor who injects genuine Botox. The deep discount is not a "training price" it is a means to lure in patients. When you are treated with Botox, you are a patient. This is a medical treatment, it belongs in a medical facility. Would you allow a surgeon in training to operate on you for half the price? Would you allow a orthopaedic in training to inject a painful joint with steroid for half the price? Never. Medicine has a price.
