For years I had difficulty breathing due to a deviated septum and I knew that if I were going to get it fixed, I would also want to improve the appearance of my nose. A little over 8 months ago I decided that it was time to have the procedure done. Many of my friends have had procedures done by Dr. Freund and all had wonderful experiences with him. With all of the information I had gathered about him, Dr. Freund was the first and only doctor I considered for this rhinoplasty procedure. When I went in for my consultation, I was so happy with his NYC location. I was happy to know that I wouldn't run into anyone I know and I would be able to keep my procedure a secret. I brought a picture of what I wanted my nose to look like, assuring him that I wanted the changes to be very subtle. With that, he explained to me how my desired nose would look with the rest of my face and he gave me very real expectations that I felt comfortable with and very excited about. He also made it very clear that he wouldn't give me a cookie cutter nose and it would be sculpted taking into account my other facial features. Almost immediately we had a date picked out for the procedure. Dr. Freund and his entire staff were incredible as they walked me through the process leading up to the operation. I think it's worth noting that I hate the thought of surgery and I usually get nauseous at the sight of my own blood, so I was so happy I found Dr. Freund who made me feel at ease and ultimately, I never felt any pain or discomfort whatsoever before, during, or after the operation. One week after the operation I already noticed my breathing was improving. I experienced minimal swelling and no bruising or discoloration, which I was extremely pleased with because I know that some of my friends who have had the same operation done by other doctors experienced bruising and discoloration post-op. Now that it's six months later, I can say that my nose was looking better and better each and every day since the operation and the process was so gradual and subtle that no one made any comments about my nose looking different. Instead, people would tell me that I'm looking really good, not being able to pinpoint the change. Since I had my operation, I referred Dr. Freund to two of my friends who have had equally outstanding experiences and whose results have exceeded their expectations. Dr. Freund, you're a true artist and I can't thank you enough for all you have done to make this painless, easy, and most importantly, rewarding! He is clearly one of the best in his field and he couldn't have done a better job on my nose. It came out exactly as I wanted!
