“1 week out”
Smart Lipo: Worth it
Cost: $7,200
Pain: Uncomfortable
Pain: Uncomfortable
Smart Lipo satisfaction: Good
Hi all: What a great site to discuss this. I too am very suprised at the amount of pain involved in this. Wow! Everything that I had read, and was told certainly did not paint this picture.
Well, I had my arms and abs done about 1 week ago, ( a day apart) . Not so bad but, I continue to have fluid build up in the arms. It is very uncomfortable and I don't know what to do. The doctor has removed it twice via needle and it feels better, but seems to come back.
I am overall happy with the results so far, but am worried about the fluid. My incisions closed up around the 4th-5th day and maybe that's the problem there wasn't enough drainage.
Thanks for sharing your info.

Tampa21- I agree about the pain. It was much worse than I thought. People who don't experience much pain think you are a wimp and must not know pain from a "good workout." This was not true for me, and you either it seems. Everyone is different. An example is why some bruise horribly and others don't. I'm so white and bruise so easily, but didn't during this procedure. 4-5 days of open incisions sounds like ample time for draining. I'm not sure about the fluid but I think everyone's body responds differently to the procedure. Lumps and swollen areas seem to change on me daily. If you trust your doctor, I would just say your body is healing itself and the fluid is just the body responding to the trauma. Good luck!
