“1 Month After Revision Rhinoplasty and Stictches Are Still in Place and Painful”
Spent: $5,000 in Mantova, italy

Pro: hopefully fixed dropped tip
Cons: Well, other than the hassle and expenditure of doing it again, none really yet
Why? As above, to fix dropped tip
I had an open revision (1 month ago) of a prior tipplasty. I still have stitches and can see how they thread through the medial crural footplate (?) and inside the left nostril, I can see the stitch practically embedded in the tissue (as it's irritated I assume it's a bit swollen). I have quite a bit of pain in that nostril, not only in that area but also towards the back and right up behind the tip. My doc is lying on a beach somewhere on a well-deserved vacation, so what should I do? Will the pulling cause any damage? Will it get worse? I'm cleaning daily with hydrogen peroxide and q-tips and adding Neosporin (Bacitracin) ointment to keep it from drying. This review is the subjective opinion of a RealSelf member and not of RealSelf, Inc.
