Ive been using a tretinoin gel (0.05%) at night for acne as well as aczone or dapsone gel (60 g) in the morning and doxycycline. Ive been applying these topical gels for almost 8 months. I recently ran out of my tretinoin gel and am waiting on a prescription that will not be filled until a week from now. My sister gave me her tretinoin cream (0.025%). Can I switch over? I am concerned about clogging my pores and breaking out. I am an oily skin type. Thanks
Sep 17 Derm gave me Retin A 0.05 for acne oily prone skin. What can reverse what Retin A gas done to my pores be acne scars? What type of scarring do I have and what pore size do I have? What skincare is most suitable and what treatment will be most effective for my pores and scars? Please help
I'm not sure which cleanser and moisturizer to use since I'm on Retin A and I have oily/sensitive skin. I've heard 'cetaphil' is good, however it contains some unhealthy ingredients( Sodium Laureth Sulfate). What should I use?
I've seen lots of before and after photos from people who use tretinoin. I notice many of them look like their faces are shiny or even oily. Is that an effect of the tretinoin or is it because they are wearing some sort of lotion in the photos?
Hello, I've been using Retin A for 16 weeks now and have not seen any resutls. As a matter of fact, my skin has gotten worse and more oily. I went to see my dermo becasue I was having a mild breakout on my chin. He perscribed me Retin A, told me to wash my face with salicytic acid morning and night and to spot treat with Benzoyl peroxide 5%. Now I have acne on my jawline, below my nose and my chin has gotten significantly worse. Should I stop using it? If so what will happen?
I have oily skin on my face, slight less so on my chest. I have worked up to 0.1%. Retin A I wait at least 15 minutes after washing to apply and 15 more before adding moisturizer mostly to my neck chest and jowls. I have never had redness or peeling. Is it working?
