I found an article Retinol, at concentrations greater than the physiological limit, induces oxidative stress and apoptosis in human dermal fibroblasts (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15009115/) and now Im afraid that my skin fibroblasts may have died after regular use of tretinoin gel 0.1% and face wash gel with retinyl palmitate together. Is it safe to use tretinoin 0.1% and retinyl palmitate together and may it induce oxidative stress and apoptosis in skin fibroblasts?
Dear Professionals, The next morning after putting the retin a , should we again wash our face with cleanser and then apply the sun protection creme? I am asking this question because I am not sure if washing the face with cleanser is ok twice a day since we are on medication by retin a and the retin a is already make the face dryer.
