I have been using rosehip oil for many months and it has been working to decrease my skin and I dont break out from it. And now that Im starting Retin-A, I dont know if my break outs are because I am purging or because I should use a proper moisturizer instead of rose hip seed oil.
I have been using Retin A 0.01% and my dermatologist wants to switch me to the Retin A Gel... I was wondering if I might get any breakouts (like the ones I got when I first started using Retin A) when I do switch or will my skin stay the same?
I've been using Retin-A every other night for 2 months, which I mix it with a bit of moisturizer as this is the only way my skin tolerates it. On nights I'm not using Retin-A, I use Aczone 5%. While the texture of my skin has improved, I'm STILL breaking outbig and small pimples that aren't confined to one single area of my face. I've also noticed that I'll have some days where my skin looks like it's starting to clear up and then BAM more breakouts. Should I continue using the Retin-A?
I started using retin a originally to get rid of small stubborn acne all skin. My forehead and cheeks. Now that I started using retin a 0.1 my skin is definitely more red and breaking out a lot more. I'm on my second week as of now.
So what I am using is tretion in night and vitamin c product in morning for the 8 weeks. I don't really know what is going on but before On the 8 week I was using a vitamin c product to apply and ran out at the 8 week and after week 8, in week 9 only using tretion a, maybe cause the breakout, I am not sure why this is happening, HELP ME!
I was prescribed tretinoin cream 0.025% for mild acne on my forehead and I tested a small amount on my cheek to make sure Im not allergic and the very next morning I wake up to 6 small red bumps on my cheek(I rarely break out on my cheeks). My dermatologist never said it makes u break out where there is no acne. Does this mean I should stop using the cream?
I got prescribed Retin A cream 0.05% I've been using it every night now for 3 days, it made my right cheek break out with couple white heads, I never really get them like that...I keep hearing that there's a ingredient in the cream that clogs your pores and makes you break out worse and that the gel is best for breakout...should I stop using it or stick with it, Thanks in advanced
I've been using Retin-A 0.05 in the morning and at night for about a month now. I feel like my skin has gotten worse though, even drier and rougher than before. I use a moisturizer twice a day, sometimes use coconut oil or Bio-Oil to soothe inflammation, and I try to drink lots of water, eat healthy, etc. What should I do? Asking before I make a dermatologist appt. Thank you!
