Had a small amount of restylane injected in my marionette lines and corners of upper and lower lip. After 3 days I started itching and my chin, cheeks and forehead were on fire with burning sensation and pinkish colour of the skin. Bought antihistamines Cetirizine and after 5 days it calmed down. Was this a allergic reaction to the lidocain or is it possible to be allergic to restylane itself? What can I use in the future?
Hi there, I am currently living in Europe and Restylane Skinbooster was recommended to improve skin hydration. I am worried about allergic reactions and other side effects. I found studies that indicate risks for hyaluronicacid fillers but (if I understand it correctly) skin booster is not a filler so maybe the risk of complications is different? I would appreciate if someone could point me into the right direction to get more information about the associated risks. Thanks a lot in advance!
I've had my lips done 4 times. I've tried both Restylane and Juvederm. All four times I have swollen up incredibly large. Almost 4 times the normal size of my lip. (Directly after injections my upper lip was still slightly smaller than my bottom) Could this mean I'm allergic?
Nine years later the Restylane is encapsulated and probably biofilm or possibly Granulomas in my cheeks. I'm concerned that i have delayed allergic hypersensitivity to hyaluronidase during the treatment of granulomatous hyaluronic acid reactions. What can i do to continue the removal of the biofilm/granuloma? Please advise. This has become a nightmare.
I had .2 cc Restalyne injected into my glabella 8 months ago. An area about 1x2 immediately got red. I went back to the physician injector 3 times about the redness but havet gotten any relief. Its itchy at times also. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can resolve this redness and itchiness issue? I tried steroid creams but that didnt help. I had this same procedure done previously with no problems. Thank you very much!
I am dissolving voluma. 1 syringe w new injector (.03 cc on each cheekbones , 02 on back of jaw). After a week or 2 it began to swell up my entire face (no pain no redness just major bloat all over my face). once dissolved, i will need filler. My old injector only uses juvedem ultra and ultra plus. i am scared of all juvederm. he says it was a normal reaction to hyaluronic acid. im scared to use juvedem yet i dont want to experiment with another injector. Should i change injector use restylane?
I have had Restylane injections in my lips 3 months ago, and now a recurrent swelling has occurred, my lips are absolutely huge and I went back to the clinic which did the injections, they put me under a cold laser for 10 minutes and say it will be with me for 2 weeks, I cannot go outside looking this way. I want to get it dissolved by hyaluronidase, but want to know whether it will make it more swollen ? If I'm allergic to the product wouldn't it be best to get it out of my lips ?
Ive been to this injector before & had great results with Juvaderm & Voluma with no problems and minimal swelling & bruising. The pain is constant, throbbing & sharp. I have swelling inside my mouth around my teeth too! I've taken tylenol & arnica montana oral & topical. I used that for my last filler procedure also. I am using gel ice packs as directed. I'm trying to desperately reduce the swelling. I have a family reunion in 1 week. And I have work in less than 24 hours.
