Tom Seery, President & Founder
Tom has spent close to a decade on consumer web products, most recently for Expedia.com. At Expedia Tom launched the Experiences by Expedia vacation business and consumer-focused product extensions such as last minute travel.
Prior to Expedia Tom launched the affiliates program for VacationSpot.com -- an online vacation rental search engine-- and managed large-scale projects for Unisys Corporation. Tom has masters degrees from Drexel University and the University of Washington and his bachelors from Connecticut College.
Tom and his wife Krista live in Seattle, Washington, a great place to protect the skin from sun damage.
Eric Kennedy, Head of Product
Eric has worked at Internet companies since 1996, when he was a summer intern from Lakeside School (where Bill Gates was introduced to computers.) He received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Yale, where he was Online Editor of the Yale Daily News. Eric worked with Tom at Expedia, then returned to the startup world at Jobster.com before joining RealSelf.
Eric is passionate about health (anti-oxidants!), exercise, and helping consumers understand their options for looking their best throughout life. He dealt with acne for many years, and has found many helpful tips from pros on RealSelf.
April Franklin, Content Director 
April recently graduated cum laude from Colorado State University with bachelor's degrees in journalism and performing arts.
During her studies, April interned with Tantalus Books as an editor on a motivational book for teens and discovered that her love for media lay in its far-reaching ability to help change lives for the better.
April believes that the holistic body is an essential instrument of self-expression and is devoted to learning and helping others learn how to care for it accordingly.
Sharon Walls, Community Manager
Sharon joined RealSelf in 2006 as a freelance writer and now enjoys a role as Community Manager.
Throughout her time at RealSelf she has seen the site grow from its original version, housed on a small test server, to the rich online community it is today.
Sharon's past work experiences highlight the eclectic nature of freelance work: she has written news articles, screenplays, marketing materials, and done copyediting for a diverse range of clients, including MTV and the Salt Lake Metro. Sharon is also the co-founder and managing director of Puzzle Box Media, a UK-based consultancy firm.
Nancy Matthews, Beauty Editor
Nancy - aka "Skintoxicated", brings to the RealSelf.com blog, Beauty Cred, 15 years’ experience in branding & creative development in the cosmetic and consumer goods industries. She was most recently with Avon, where she worked extensively on skin care launches, including the Anew line and Avon’s first-ever global brand kits. Nancy believes in a holistic approach to beauty] and maintaining a youthful spirit, which came in handy when she realized she had 3 kids under 3. She feels antioxidants are key and ensures she has them daily in the form of drinkable coffeeberry (3+ cups) and chocolate truffles—which accompany her countless recon missions for anti-aging product. Nancy holds a BA from the University of Delaware and an MBA from William Paterson University.
