Is Zerona Ever Covered by Insurance?

Imagine the case of a diabetic who has been instructed to lose weight but is having difficulty shedding those last few pounds. Will insurance cover Zerona for them?

Insurance does not cover Zerona

It is a semi cosmetic treatment that NO insurance company would cover. You most likely knew that, but here it is -- a big fat NO!

Zerona and Insurance, Maybe in the Obama Health Care Plan?

The only claim is that patients lose inches. As you know, we are lucky if insurance pays for your true diabetes medical treatment. Nice try though. Good luck and be well. Dr. P
