We have been very happy w/ the results that we have been seeing w/ Zeltiq CoolSculpting at MPSA. There is plenty of scientific documentation/white papers on Zeltiq and they are all consistant with what we have seen in our own practice. Yes. Zeltiq does work, and it results in natural fat cell removal.
The Zeltiq procedure reduces fat by chilling it. Ideal candidates for the procedure have discrete and localized fat bulges on the abdomen, love handles, inner thighs, and back. Zeltiq is the Real "cool" thing: It Works!
Pre-dated by many non-surgical devices claiming to reduce fat, Zeltiq (Coolsculpting) has been the effort of much research by well respected labs. The device does indeed freeze the fat (Cryolipolysis) and these cells eventually die, diminish and are removed by the body. this takes 60-90 days, but has appeared to be very consistent. Patient selection for CoolSculpting is key. The ideal patient is near goal weight, physically fit, exercises, eats a healthy diet and still has stubborn areas that bother them. We have seen great results!
We have seen great results in our practice with Cool Sculpting. Scientific documentation shows a reduction of 20-25% for one treatment and we are showing the same results with patients being treated in our office. Although Coolsculpting is not a trade off for Liposuction it is a great non surgical option for fat reduction.

CoolSculpting has been extensively studied and is effective is reducing the fat lyer that is treated by 20-25%. We have been very pleased with the results of CoolSculpting because it permamently reduces the fat in the treated area. As all fat reducing procedures, it is not a substitute for diet and exercise.It is most effective to spot treat diet and exercise resisitant fat bulges in and around the waistline and flank.

This is an FDA-cleared machine....it has gone through testing and trials with promising results. The literature and the patient testimonials are consistent that there is a 20-25% reduction of fat in the area treated with each treatment. The BEST thing is that there is NO DOWN TIME and the patient can go back to work, school, and their normal activity immediately after getting the treatment.

Zeltiq permanently reduces fat without downtime
Zeltiq is a noninvasive way to permanently reduce fat. It is best used in patients that are relatively fit, but have small pockets of diet and exercise-resistant fat. Patients can expect a 20-25% reduction of the area that is treated. During and after the 1 hour treatment, you may some discomfort, but you are able to resume normal activities. The body slowly breaks down the fat over the next 2-4 months.

Permanent Fat Removal
Developed by Harvard doctors, Zeltiq destroys fat cells by a process called cryolipolysis. It basically freezes fat cells. The fat cells are cooled until they develop ice crystals within the cell that destroys the cell. Over 8-12 weeks the body removes the dead cells and the fat layer shrinks. Coolsculpting is very effective at reduction fat pockets that are resistant to diet and exercise and is ideal for people close to their ideal body weight. It is not a weight reduction procedure but instead a sculpting procedure. People who are overweight or obese are not good candidates. Best wishes

Yes in our experience it works well
We have been one of the early adapters of Zeltiq and have had great results with the procedure. Zeltiq uses a sophisticated technology that cools the fat cells and causes the destruction of the fatty tissue. Over 8-12 weeks the dead fat cells are removed and the results become evident. Zeltiq does work!
It has been established in a number of scientific studies that cryolipolysis works in reducing fat cells. In our clinical experience Zeltiq produces visible improvements that patients are very happy with. It is not as powerful of a tool as liposuction in reducing large fat pockets but for most of our patients with 'love handles' and 'muffin top' issues it works very well.

Yes, Zeltiq works for abdominal and flank fat reduction
Based on my research into the product and my first-hand experience with the Zeltiq device, I can attest that Zeltiq is effective for reduction of abdominal and flank fat. It is most optimal for patients that are already quite fit, but have a very localized region of abdominal or 'love handle' fat. These patients would be ideal liposuction candidates anyway.
