Are Wrinkle Fillers Safe While Nursing or Before Pregnancy?

Wrinkle fillers during pregnancy and breastfeeding

Hi, these products have not been tested on pregnant women and are not approved for use before/during pregnancy or lactation. The safest thing for your baby is to avoid any injectables during this time. Once your child is no longer physically dependent upon you for nourishment -- which will happen faster than you can imagine -- you'll be able to undergo these treatments. Good luck and enjoy your new baby. /nsn

Research on wrinkle filler safety during pregnancy

Truth be told, not much research has been done on the topic. Women who are breastfeeding and pregnant women should be aware that the safety of these products is unknown for nursing or pregnant women. Also remember, injectable wrinkle fillers have been tested for safety only on facial areas, not on other parts of the body. Consult with your doctor about how to proceed.
