Worried if Ripped my Tummy Tuck Sutures

I had a full TT with lipo to z hips 4 weeks ago,the results were pretty much better than now cz i noticed few days ago that my hips grew larger, the whole shape of my waistline is wider and my upper abdomen is bulging a bit.Although i havent gained weight, i am exercising since week 3 post op( treadmill),but im also expecting my period anytime now. Could that be Premenstrual bloating or did i rip 1 of my sutures doing some effort like reaching up holding baby or running?

Tearing internal sutures after a Tummy Tuck is rare but can happen

It is possible to tear the internal sutures of a tummy tuck in the early post-op period. This is why there are so many activity restrictions for the first 8 weeks. Sometimes swelling and fluid accumulation (seroma) can give the appearance of torn muscle plication sutures. You need to be evaluated by your surgeon if you are concerned.

These include normal postoperative swelling, fluid accumulation (seroma or hematoma), the presence of residual adipose tissue or separation of the abdominal wall muscle plication. The latter is the most unlikely. The cause of the "bulge" can be determined on physical examination; follow-up with your plastic... more
