Two weeks ago, I had Pixel Laser done on my face. On the lower half they stacked the pulses and on my forehead they just did one pulse. After a week of really bad scabs and peeling my face looks "normal" except that I have a ton of dents in my face where the ablative laser was. I was told the best results is after 5 months but this is kind of scary to me. Has anyone had experience with this? Will these go away?

4 weeks ago,I had done fractional CO2 laser on my face for curing acne scars. Now, problem of side effects, such as redness and many dents,do not go away. I'am very depressed whenever I look at my face in mirror. Can my face recover to normal? Thank you for your answer!

The Pixel laser is a fractional resurfacing laser. When the laser is stacked in areas, the penetration in the skin is much deeper than doing a single pulse with one pass. After the scabbing has resolved, you will see small dents in the skin where the laser penetrated. These areas will fill slowly over the next few weeks. The dents will be gone in about 4-6 weeks to a maximum of 8 weeks depending on how deep they went. These dents when they fill represent the new collagen and elastin that was stimulated with the laser. Optimal results with the laser are seen 6-8 weeks later which is the end of a skin cycle.
