Revision rhinoplasty doctor rec

In my opinion, you won't find anyone better than Dr. Jack Gunter in Dallas. Extremely experienced and uses rib grafts extensively. You will find that most other answerers won't give you a name because they want you to consider coming to them.

Revision rhinoplasty recommendation

Look for a rhinoplasty surgeon who has performed an extensive number or rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty surgeries. You should have good communication and rapport with your surgeon and establish realistic expectations prior to the surgery. The discipline of revision rhinoplasty is very complicated, especially when rib graft is involved. Rib cartilage should only be used when there is an insufficient amount of cartilage from the nose and ear.

Revision surgeon

There are many experienced rhinoplasty surgeons and each surgeon has a unique set of skills and tools which may make him or her the best surgeon for that unique problem - having said that, probably Dean Toriumi is the facial plastic surgeon with the most autologous rib graft experience

Don't like using rib grafts

IMHO, rib grafts dissolve unevenly over 10-15 years setting you up for another revision Rhinoplasty. Silastic straight nasal implants are the best for building up the nasal bridge and the ears provide ample conchal cartilage for any amount of tip grafting...just MHO.

Revision rhinoplasty surgeon recommendations

There is no one doctor that you should go to. Certainly, you want someone experienced in treating noses like yours and who has good results. It's also important that you have a good rapport with the surgeon. Reviewing before and after photographs is important to make sure you like the surgeon's previous results. If you are lacking in ear or septal cartilage then rib cartilage may be indicated. A lot depends on what maneuvers need to be done during surgery. There are a few... more

There are many experienced rhinoplasty surgeon in the US who do both initial and revision surgeries. If there is a particular area of the US you want (due to Family, friends etc) search revision rhinoplasty for that region. Certainly Dr. Dean Toriumi and Dr. Jack Gunter are very well known surgeons who lecture extensively.

Revision Rhinoplasty

Hi, I don't think there is one surgeon who specializes exclusively in revision rhinoplasty. That said, it sounds like your nose has ethnic features. You should find a surgeon that has experience with ethnic nose. Also be aware that rib cartilage nasal grafts can warp if not prepared and placed properly. Best, Dr.S.

There is no one best surgeon. There are many qualified experienced revision rhinoplasty surgeons around the country. I would search on the internet , and then consult several people. Trust your instinct and see many before and afters. If possible talk to previous patients.
