When Can I Start Using Retinoids After CO2 Laser Resurfacing?

I had CO2 laser resurfacing 70 days ago on 2 small areas: quarter size area of my upper right cheek and 2 quarter size areas on my left cheek. I was told to wait until the redness was completely gone before resuming. I currently use Retin A Micro (for acne) on my entire face, avoiding these areas. The redness is 80% gone (or so) but I am getting acne in these areas now so it's hard to tell what is causing the redness. I'd like to start using Retin A Micro so I can prevent this acne. Thanks!
