I use Restylane a lot in my practice. It’s a great filler made of hyaluronic acid, which is found naturally in our skin and joints. Restylane is a useful filler when patients have: • Sagging brows (Different from sagging lids!) • Lines at rest between the eyes • A sunken area at the “tear trough” below the eyes • Mild to moderate lines from the nose to mouth (“Smile Lines”) • Mild to moderate lines from the corners of the mouth down (“Marionette Lines”) • “Smoker’s Lines” around their lips Restylane is also great to help increase lip fullness or definition lost over time. Dr. Gray makes a great point. Decreasing pain during injection is important! If a patient has no allergy to lidocaine, the use of “nerve blocks” to numb the entire treatment area is best. Remember- It’s Your Face! Always seek out a Doctor with extensive experience in Restylane injections and nerve block injections for best results. Your Doctor will be able to tell you if Restylane, or another filler, is best for you.
