When does the bumpiness go away after smart lipo?

Lumps, bumps, and uneveness are the norm after any type of lipo procedure (traditional, SmartLipo, VASER, etc...).  That being said, they might not go away completely and the outer thigh tends to be very unforgiving in terms of appearance.  In terms of correction, I would recommend waiting for 5-6 months to see what kind of appearance you have at that stage.  If there is a little uneveness, you might be able to improve the appearance by addressing those individual lumps/bumps.  However if it is because of skeletonization because of over-aggressive lipo, you might need to have fat grafting back to the area treated.  To avoid this, it is always advisable to leave a small, thin layer of fat underneath the skin of the treated area and not to take out all the fat in an area.
