When Closing Me Up Did my Doctor Sew It into my Muscle?

When closing me up did my Doctor sew it into my muscle? And if so what would be the reasoning for that? I just really want to know. This was a board certified licensed doctor. I already know he messed up during surgery. He sent me home with out telling anyone I lost too much blood. I was hospitalized and got three bags of blood transplants. And still he tells me nothing went wrong during surgery. But both my breasts and stomach look horrible! attached are both early post op pics and current pics

Bad result from a tummy tuck

Savanna9; I would classify your result from a tummy tuck as absolutely unacceptable. Your scar is poorly positioned and the contour makes no sense. I would be shocked to find that your surgery was performed by an experienced surgeon who is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Fortunately, I believe that your problems are fixable by an experience Plastic Surgeon.

Scar after Tummy Tuck

It looks like the scar contracted and is now depressed. You may want to discuss a revision with your surgeon. Revising the scar and doing a little liposuction above it may give a better result. If you don't feel comfortable with your original surgeon, find a Board Certified plastic surgeon for a 2nd opinion.

Your result is certainly less than optimal

You clearly have a constricted scar. There is likely some scar tissue attachement to the underlying muscle. It is impossible to say how exactly this happened but it really doesn't matter. From your photos, it appears that you are a candidate for a scar revision and this should be a straight-foward procedure from a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. I agree that you should find out if your original surgeon was Board Certified Plastic Surgeon - NOT A BOARD CERTIFIED COSMETIC SURGEON. more

Tummy Tuck Result

Thank you for your question and photos. It is difficult to say what happened in the operating room.... only your surgeon would know. You may benefit from a revision and you may want to ask for your operative report so that you can share it with whom ever you choose to do your revision tummy tuck surgery. Please make sure that your surgeon is a board certified plastic surgeon with experience with this type of procedure. Best wishes!

Results of surgery

Savanna9, First, let me ask what was your doctor board certified in? Board certification can be in any medical specialty, and in some cases some individuals present certifications by boards that are not officially recognized and require nothing more than a membership fee for certification. With regard to your problem, it is difficult to say for sure what exactly your surgeon did. What I see is a scar that is somewhat constricted, and adherent to the deeper tissues.... more
