Covering gray hair is a uniquely independent case-by-case situation that depends on a couple factors:

  1. What is your desired shade of color?
  2. How much “coverage” do you desire?

There are professional products designed to “blend,” “color,” or “cover” gray hair. The degree of gray-treatment is up to the individual.

  • Some folks demand total coverage – this is easiest achieved when going for a dark to light brunette shade.
  • Others don’t mind treating their gray hair like a natural sparkle or highlight – this approach provides the biggest range of options.
  • Some newly gray-haired people just want to ‘take the edge off’ the gray. In this case, there are many demi-permanent or semi-permanent type coloring products from which to choose.
