placed under the fascia? I will be having augmentation with 240cc full profile Natrelle implants. (I am 5ft, 107lb, extremely toned pectoralis muscles, but minimal breast tissue). I asked for subfascial placement due to my concerns with how submuscular would affect my sports performance afterwards.

Depends upon size you want and your dimensions
The terms "full" or "high" profile are somewhat arbitrary, the important thing is to know the exact dimensions (diameter and projection). The choice of implant shape will be determined by the best match of diameter in the size you want. Subfascial is a good way to go for someone athletic who is concerned about animation problems, but the upper pole coverage is not quite ideal with the higher profile type implants so the look may not be quite as natural. Sometimes a split...

Your anatomy is more important than the location of the implants
Hi there-
With regard to the best profile of implant for you, whether they are placed under your fascia or under your pec muscle will be less relevant and important than the dimensions of your chest and your desired goals.
Only a well trained and experienced surgeon who has performed an exam on you will be able to advise you responsibly about this, but generally high profile implants should be reserved for patients who want breasts and projection that is disproportionately large relative...

Gel breast implants above the muscle will give you better projection but less coverage
It is a wise decision to use a gel implant above the muscle due to your lifestyle. This placement will give you more projection but will also leave little tissue coverage for the implant.
The choice of high profile versus moderate plus is better made by your surgeon, as it depends on clinical exam and breast/chest dimensions.

Implants under the fascia
I do not think that placing silicone high profile breast implants under the fascia over any advantage over placing them under the muscle or subglandular.

Either profile would work.
With a small implant such as a 240cc, either a style 15 or 20 would work. There is only a few millimeters difference in diameter. Another possibility is a cohesive or form stable implant. With athletic patients there is no lateral pressure from the pectoralis muscle. I would trust your plastic surgeon since he or she has thoroughly evaluated you.

Trade-offs in breast augmentation
Each choice or option in breast augmentation has trade-offs that you need to accept. Be sure your surgeon reviews these with you. He should explain the pros and cons of each type or size of implants. How each of these implants will function differ with each patient. In general, use the smallest implants that will make you happy. I rarely use the high profile implants. Although you might seem to need them to achieve a certain profile, they can look more round when placed on top of the muscle...

Go by you chest dimensions and desired size
It sounds like you are on the right path. You should first decide about what volume feels comfortable to you. You can do this by trying on different sizes of implants. This is what will determine if you are a B or C cup. After you know the volume you should then look at you present breast dimensions and find an implant of the proper profile that fits you. The reason to use a high profile implant is to get the larger volume that will still fit you breast diameter. If your breast...

For a petite woman I think you made a good choice
The most important dimension in my estimation is the diameter of your breast. That combined with desired volume ( try some implants on) and that will help you to determine the exact implant ( with projection) for you. Above the muscle gives a bit more of the "shelf" look, FYI....
