I had a tuummy tuck on the 30th of june. My doctor took out my JP drain after 9 days. my other site did not close right away and now it oozing with fluid--- like redish in color, no odor and when i try to squeeze my stomach that side, more fluids coming out!i need some advice pls

Thank you for the question. It is not unusual to have continued drainage for a few days after drain removal. If this drainage continues past that point or if you develop abdominal wall swelling you should see your plastic surgeon ASAP. Best wishes.

Persistent drainage after a tummy tuck,

I general, if the fluid is relatively clear without odor or pus and there is no associated spreading wound redness or fever, I would not be overly concerned. Keep your surgeon informed. Drainage that persists beyond 4-6 weeks may require treatment.

It sounds like your drains make have been taken out before the body has completed over-producing the inflammation based fluid drains are meant to collect.
