I want to explain what personal colour is and the colour analysis concept.

We all have undertone and overtone. Overtone is the colour of our skin tone which might change in time or environment, such as sun exposure.

Undertone is the ratio and combination of the three pigments (i.e., hemoglobin, carotene and melanin) in your body which defines if we are cool or warm. Everybody has those pigments but the amounts and ratio combination differs for each individual and thus defines the person’s season in colour analysis concept. The hemoglobin and carotene combination indicates the warmness or coolness of the undertone, while melanin is a main indicator of value and intensity. If the carotene amount is higher than the hemoglobin, it’s warmer and so the yellow (golden) undertone. If the hemoglobin amount is higher, it’s cooler and thus the undertone is blue.

Therefore, your undertone is the main indicator of your season, NOT your skin colour (i.e., overtone). In determining a person’s season the areas that are taken into consideration are eye colour and eye patterns, skin tone, hair colour and even tooth enamel.

I strongly suggest investing in colour analysis. That is not an expensive investment at all if you consider that your season is basically the same throughout your entire life.
