What Can You Recommend for Excessively Dry Legs?

My legs are sooo dry that they look like an alligator's. The skin doesn't flake off, but cracks and looks bad. I am vegetarian, eat pretty well, and have had this problem for many years. I have noticed my mom has the same problem... Thanks so much for your consideration,
