Question

What can I do about bad Radiesse results?

HELP!! BAD Radiesse  results......

I had the Radiesse put in the corners (lines)of the mouth area, great results.. however under my eyes!! Is just awful, each side two very noticeable bumps, with a bruise (or now a dark color) on each side, the left more noticeable.. both eyes look as if I have bumpy bags under them.. I look ten years older!!! He did this two months ago I went back, he tried to fix one side and made it worse!! Note- He is Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. What options do I have now? See someone else to do what?? More filler can't be the answer can it?

I had a similar experience. My dermatologist injected Radiesse under my eyes and I now have an unsightly lump under one eye and the blue/purple shade under the other. It's been two months. A plastic surgeon does not think she can remove the lump without giving me a scar. I read here that Radiesse should not be used under the eye. What recourse do I have? Is this malpractice?

I saw another plastic surgeon for an opinion of what to do.. in writing he says.. "aspiration, excision or waiting" .... until the bumps go away.

His cost to fix this and yes a scar.. $2800.00 I called BioForm Medical and they told me that Radiesse is to NEVER be used under the eyes ever.

The Doctor I got the opinion from agrees saying that it is to thick to remove. Also that this is done "off label" .. so in my opinion yes, seek legal counsel for a free consult and see if anything can be done.

I'm going to be doing the same as soon as my hysterectomy is over with in nine days from now.
Good luck to you.. I KNOW how you feel.

One more thought, how about seeing a makeup pro at a salon that does event makeup and see if there is anything that can be done to cover it.. if you go that route let me know, if it was of any help. I'm just super busy this week or I'd be in an attys. office and in a makeup chair somewhere.

Wow--best of luck to you on your upcoming surgery. I had to have a hysterectomy too due to uterine cancer and haven't felt the same since. It's big deal surgery. Hope you come through it well. Maybe after your recovery period, your lumps will be gone or a lot smoother. It depends on the day as to how bad mine look. Today it looked a little less swollen. I sure don't want surgery and I don't want a scar. I'm not real big on make-up, but I have tried a few products and placement. Anything I've done seems to accentuate the problem. Oh, the price of beauty. I think I should at least get the money back that I spent for the Radiesse!

Thanks, I'm freaking out about it, it's next Tuesday.. I'm SOOO scared. Today I have no idea why this is so but under Department store lights my bumps look worse.. I was looking for a robe to wear at/home from the hospital.. and the way people looked at me, geesh!

I like you, hope that time will take them down, but I want my money back as well $800.00 .. boy NEVER AGAIN !!! I agree with you no surgery under the eyes.. I'll wait it out.

You are right anything extra seems to have them show up more.. I wear little makeup so I know what you mean.. I almost stopped and asked one of the Department store gals what could be done, but I was so bummed that I just left.. without a robe, all they had in the way of robes were "coats".. I found one online and bought two that are not as "heavy" I want to be able to move if/when I can.

If you're going to have an open abdominal surgery, might I suggest that you also purchase a supply of granny panties two sizes too big. Large night shirts and an afghan were my daytime wear for about a month. Hope all goes well and that you're one of the women who wishes they had done it long ago.

(Everyone looks bad under department store lighting.)

Boy isn't that the truth :-) That silly department store lighting !!

Anyway the robes arrive today.. lets hope I like them I ordered them HUGE, plus I'm going for the men's BIG T- Shirts.. I have my Leary Firefighters one that is wonderful and HUGE, so that will be nice plus a comfort .. like I'm being looked after.. now I need socks.. badly, big comfy socks..

The panties I have so hopefully I'm good to go.. I just called the Doctors office and told them that I was thisclose to backing out...

They said they'd call me back.

I just know on my chart there is a highlighted "Crazy Lady" written there :-)

Thanks for the advice ..the closer it gets the more I spiral.
