Brazilian Butt Lift - Recycling is a good thing!

A Brazilian butt lift is a procedure where fat is removed from other parts of your body by liposuction then, after preparation, injected into the buttocks as needed to increase the volume and lift of the buttocks.

Using your own fat can have some advantages:

  • No foreign body
  • Low rate of infection
  • Improved contour to the areas where the fat was harvested from
  • Minimal incisions required

The problems with fat revolve around its relative rate of reabsorption. You may lose half of it within a year, necessitating a repeat grafting session. Areas that are very mobile tend to resorb faster.

Brazilian Butt Lift

The Brazilian butt lift is a type of butt augmentation procedure which results in a youthful, prominent, perky buttocks and a more sensual body profile. People of all ages are having the butt lift procedure.

A board certified plastic surgeon removes fat from selected areas of your body, purifies the fat, then reinjects selected donor fat cells into your buttocks. The procedure is designed to fill the upper quadrant of your buttocks so that the butt appears lifted and perky. The resulting effect is that the woman appears more attractive and sensuous.

The buttock is first contoured by performing liposuction in the areas around the buttocks to make them stand out more. Common areas liposuctioned include the back - directly above the butt - the stomach, and the thighs. Note that even the liposuction alone will give your lower body a more attractive look.

The fat suctioned from these areas is carefully processed and purified such that only a fraction of the donor fat removed will qualify for re-injection to the buttocks. After liposuction, the board certified plastic surgeon carefully purifies the fat so that only the best donor fat cells are reinjected back into your buttocks for augmentation. The fat is placed or transferred to the buttocks with special cannulas.

Brazilian Butt Lifts Turn Unwanted Fat into a True Asset

A Brazilian Butt Lift is a method whereby fat is removed from one area and moved to the buttocks.  We use it to augment or reshape one's behind.

A typical Brazilian Butt Lift involves harvesting fat from thighs (and other areas if not enough fat is available) and reinjecting to elevate one's backside to new elevations.

The technique is quite labor intensive and requires significant experience to achieve the desired results.  I find that adding fat near the midline and top of the buttocks helps the most.  Since much of the fat does not remain, we try to overcorrect at the time of the procedure.

100mL to 600mL is usually added to each side of the buttocks.  This can make a HUGE difference to the recipient and give them the confidence they are looking for.

Kim Kardashian may or may not have had a Brazilian Butt Lift, but those wanting her look can certainly come closer to their desired fullness with this technique.
