Can someone explain changes after deep overbite treatment? (photo)

I was in braces for 4 years for deep bite and crowding. I'm currently in the retainer phase of the treatment but i noticed some unusal facial changes. As you can see from photos my lower lip now protrudes and the corners of the lips have turned from a positive into a negative angle. I also noticed a diminshed facial height in the lower third of the face. Can anyone explain these changes considering that I look like a deep bite case now more so than a the beginning of the treatment.
