Exercises for Lean and Toned Body?

I have just started going to the gym. My goal is to be lean and toned. I am now 28, 5'9, and weight 160 lbs. I don't have much of a big tummy, however I do would like to flatten it (Tummy Tuck). What exercises should I do, how often, and what machines in the gym should I be doing these exercises?

what you are trying to achieve is mostly diet influenced. Until you lose the subcutaneous fat underneath the skin, no muscles will show. I think there are a myriad of exercises out there to tone your abdominal muscles. Short of hiring a personal trainer, I might suggest exercises for your core. If you look on You Tube and type core muscle workout, there are many there.
