Cystocoele repair and persistent swelling.

The cystocoele is repaired through the top of the vagina and this can disrupt circulation in this area causing more profound swelling that can persist for several months. However, it could also be a sign of infection or hematoma or seroma. Discuss this with your surgeon who may perform an ultrasound for a definitive diagnosis.
