I Am Two Weeks out from Having over the Muscle Augmentation, Skin On Right Side Is Hyper Sensitive.

 It Has Been Really Great except for my skin and nipple on the right side being hyper sensitve. Is this ok and how long can I expect this to go on?

Increased sensitivity after breast augmentation is temporary

Some patients experience hypersensitivity in their breasts after breast augmentation. It will resolve on its own. However it can take 3-6 months to resolve. There is no reason to panic.

Hypersensitive skin

I have had patients with hypersensitive skin and nipples. When nerves get stretched with a procedure sometimes they can reach in different ways. Hypo-sensitive or Hyper-sensitive are both common. Your BS PS should be able to help you with this, keep him informed.

Hypersensitivity post breast surgery

At this point in time of your recovery, it is normal for you to experience some hypersensitivity in your breast. In most cases, the hypersensitivity will resolve over time. To help minimize the hypersensitivity, anti-inflammatories and desensitizing the area could help with the discomfort.
