My plastic surgeon cannot get me in for the surgery until the end of February. We have a trip with the family planned for Disney World 9 weeks after my tummy tuck and breast reduction. Is that enough recovery time before a Disney Trip?

Tummy Tuck and Breast Reduction Recovery
If you have an uncomplicated recovery from tummy tuck and breast reduction you should be OK for travel and vigorous activity at 6 weeks after surgery. The 9 weeks you are allowing should give you enough time to recover and enjoy your trip.

9 weeks recovery after a mommie makeover
9 weeks is plenty for a tummy tuck and reduction surgery. Once in Disneyland you'll be ambulatory and quite functional in terms of sitting in rides and the such. Remember that you've had the surgery recently because you don't want to push things too hard. If something feels wrong, you should slow it down and progressively return. The key word is progressive.

Travelling 9 weeks post-op breast reduction & tummy tuck
Yes, given an uncomplicated recovery, you should be in reasonable shape to come here to Orlando and enjoy Walt Disney World at 9 weeks post-op. I'd stay off the roller coasters, though.
Best wishes,

After a tummy tuck, when can I go to Disney World?
A tummy tuck is a safe and effective procedure to contour the abdomen, create a tight waist, and remove extra skin, fat, and stretch marks. After this procedure, patients should expect a significant recovery process. The recovery process can vary between patients depending on how quickly they heal, the level of swelling that they have, the components of the tummy tuck they received, and through the use of compression garments. In our typical patient, we inform them that they can return...

Exercise and activity after tummy tuck and breast reduction
If you have experienced uncomplicated wound healing it is quite likely that you coul travel to Disneyland at nine weeks. However, I would be concerned that you should stay away from some of the wide rides.

Disney after 9 weeks
In general, I usually clear my patients to do most everything by about 6-8 weeks after surgery provided that they had no problems after surgey. Just check with your doctor. Say Hello to Mickey for me!

Tummy tuck and breast reduction recovery
In a word...Yes you will be able to go to Disney World.
I tell my patients they can get back to cardiovascular fitness at 2 weeks after tummy tuck and breast reduction, at 4 weeks they can lift weights, everything but sit-ups and abdominal crunches. At 6 weeks they can do full abdominal exercises. I hope this helps and enjoy your trip!

Recovery after tummy tuck and breast reduction
Since most healing is achieved within 4 to 6 weeks, you should be OK to enjoy yourself at Disney World. You may have a few aches but it won't affect your results.

Recovery after Tummy Tuck and Breast Reduction
In general 9 weeks should be sufficient time to recover after these combined procedures to travel on vacation. Of course any unexpected complications might delay your recovery and impact your travel plans.

Travel
If you are of good health and surgical risk, I would expect you to be able to travel. Expect there to be some numbness over your abdominal wall and perhaps to the breast skin as well. To improve your chances, I would be very strict in following your surgeon's advice.

Traveling Post Mommy Makeover
It is safe to travel to Disney as long as you recover well from surgery without complications. After 6 weeks, I clear patient's to resume normal activity without restriction.
It is important to understand that complications can ocassionally occur. If so, it would be important to delay your trip to recover properly. Wound infection or breakdown are the most common late complications that may delay your care.

Recovery after Mommy Makoever
I generally recommend no heavy lifting or strenuous activity for 4-6 weeks after surgery. After six weeks, I clear patients to resume activity as tolerated. If you are 9 weeks after your surgery, have fun in Disney. But alway get the recommendations from your plastic surgeon - every technique is unique and every surgeon has his/her preferences.

Travel after surgery
9 weeks should be enough time to allow for travel and unlimited activities. I say should because it assumes normal procedure and recovery. If you have a complication, all bets may be off.
Good luck

Recovery after Tummy Tuck with Breast Reduction
Barring any unforeseen problems, nine weeks should be a more than adequate period of time to recover from your tummy tuck and breast reduction before a vacation to Disney World. I usually place no restrictions on my patients after six weeks or so except for sit-ups and crunches.
