3 Weeks After Rhinoplasty - Upturned Pig Nose

At first I thought the pig appearance was due to the cast. It didn't change when cast came off. I did not ask for my tip to be rotated at all, but he was reducing the width of my tip and taking out a cleft. For some reason, now my tip is high up. Making my nose too short for my face. I also have almost twice the size nostrils now, one being very larger than other and a hanging collumena. I'm too embarrassed to see anyone. He says it's swelling, but I'm not sure. I can't see how this can change

Nose swelling after rhinoplasty

Tip swellilng is normal for many months after rhinoplasty. It is important to have patience as you heal. Check in with your doctor periodically. Dr. Korman

Hi there The tip never dropped. It's been almost 2 years. I leave tomorrow to fly to Arizona for a revision with a surgeon to fix my nose. there are lots of other issues that came from my primary too including nasal valve collapse. I have an extensive revision to lower my tip, refine, graft my nostrils... Etc Wish me luck!

It never dropped! Sorry to say. It was overly shortened. I am having a revision this week with a specialist who is good at lengthening noses.

hi, did your tip ever go down? I have the exact same problem as you. also, iam confused about the third picture u uploaded. it looks different from the second pic. is that your pre-op? pls clarify how much of ur tip dropped and in what time-frame. it will be soooo helpful for me .

It never dropped! Sorry to say. It was overly shortened. I am having a revision this week with a specialist who is good at lengthening noses. The picture you referred to was my morph of where the tip should of been.
