Wearing Make Up After Applying Retin-a?

I'm working at night and it requires me to wear make up which would last until early in the morning. I'm interested in using retin-a for curing my adult acne and wrinkles but would it reduce its effects if I have to put make up on after applying it? This is the only possible way for me since you are not supposed to use retina during the day.
