Common swelling?

It is common to still have swelling at 4 weeks post op. It is also not uncommon to have one eye more swollen than the other. Try sleeping on your back with your head elevated to help reduce swelling. Sometimes sleeping to one side more than the other will cause increased swelling to that side. Also make sure you are continuing to see your surgeon for regular follow up appointments.

Swollen eye after surgery

It is not uncommon for one or both eyes to be swollen after surgery. Do you have chemosis in one eye? What procedure exactly did you have? AN exam in person would be key to answering this adequately.

Yes upper eyelid surgery only both eyes, eyes were very droopy before with skin resting on lashes. Eyes are blood shot and red, PS recently gave me Muro 128 to try for 7 days, one drop 4x a day, it really stings. Today is 3 no real difference yet. Was previously prescribed (2weeks after surgery) anti inflammatory Durezol but after about 10 days that made no difference. Feel occasional pressure in left temple area. When closing one eye and testing sight left eye seems a bit more blurry than right. On the lid surface seems like left lid is pinned back or caught and wont relax or soften like the right eye. Eyes both blood shot. PS said to try a eyemask also to relax eye, returning in a week for follow up.
