I Got the Vi Peel and After It Peeled Around my Mouth, Its SO Dry Now! What is Up with This??

I got the Vi peel 4 days ago so of course the part around my mouth has fully peeled off, but after it peeled off its been extremely dry around my mouth! It's been so taught, dry, and irritated feeling. Like it almost feels like a burning, and when I put moisturizer it burns even more. It's so dry that I cant even smile! I can barely open my mouth and just from me trying to smile, the skin ripped on one of the outter corners of my mouth! I'm pretty sure this isnt normal so what is happening???
