Is V-Beam Safe for Patient with Both Rosacea and Melasma?

I have been fighting what I assumed was a melasma patch on my cheek for nearly a year now. My first dermatologist prescribed Tri-luma, which didn't help much.

I recently saw another specialist who said my problem was actually more related to Rosacea and recommended the V-beam treatments. I am nervous about any lasers because if this is melasma, I fear it will make it worse. Can someone let me know if V-Beam is safe if you have a mixture of rosacea and melasma?
