I had temporary veneers put on today to get an idea of what the permanent veneers would look like but I don't like them, they look really fake and they are dark brown on top near my gum and when I bite down it doesn't feel natural.

Permanent veneers should be able to be flossed. Please see the treating dentist for a follow-up. The dentist typically can remove any excess cement between the teeth using strips which separate the veneers and polish between them without any harm to the veneers.
