Umbilica/abdominal Hernia Reccurence in 12 Days - is This Possible?

Hernia repair performed laprascopically using mesh. On day 12 abdominal swelling down with a noted know or hardened area palpated above naval. Have not lifted anything over 2-3 pounds since surgery. What can cause this or could it be something else?

Is This Possible?

It is possible that it is a recurrent hernia, but more likely is it that you are feeling the mesh plug that was used to close the hernia. There are some other possibilities, but only with a visit to your surgeon where you can be examined are you going to get valid reassurance. Thanks for your question, best wishes.
