Ultrasonic Liposuction for Lipodema and Lymphedema?

I am 46 years old. I have lipodema and lymphedema (Stage 2) . I was diagnosed in June 2008. I am looking for any help with ultrasonic liposuction as I progress with this. I'm really scared about looking so disfigured. I am 5'4 and weigh 289 lbs, and my doctor really is of no help but to keep telling me to lose weight. I know this. He's a good doctor but I don't think he really knows enough about this. He just thinks I have lymphedema, but my physical therapist told me I have a lipodema as well. I wear compression. I have abdominal heaviness and my thighs seem to be just getting bigger and bigger. Please help me, I don't want to spend the rest of my life immobile because of this.

Heed your physicians advice in the case of weight loss prior to liposuction

I would agree with your physician. Have you contemplated bariatric surgery. At your BMI, you risk of cardiac disease and diabetes as well as the secondary life threatening morbidity and mortality far exceeds the problems imposed by the lymphedema/lipoedema.
