How Does Ultherapy Tighten Skin While Giving It Plumpness?
- Asked 2 years ago
Is it risky to combine Silikon 1000 with ultherapy? Is it common to have both?
Ultherapy can lift the cheeks and create fullness by lifting the sagging tissue back into position
Ulthera does help produce new collagen but the plumping or revolumization is more of an effect from the lifting of the jowl. The mid cheek has sagged in many patients and brought the jowl over the jawline. Once the Ulthera helps tighten the connective tissue of the cheek, and lift the cheek, this brings the descended subcutaneous tissue back into the elevated position restoring its fullness. Ultherapy works better in those patients who have not yet lost significant elasticity from sun exposure and age.

Effect of Ultherapy on Facial Fullness
We have seen a fairly consistent improvement in fullness in the upper cheek but not much anywhere else. It is safe to use fillers after Ultherapy but not before as there is some concern that the ultrasound energy will effect the filler.
