How Long Should I Wait to Fly After Having a Chin Implant?

In general, flying has the potential to exacerbate any swelling that is present from your surgery. The general guideline is to wait around one week, if possible. I would see how you feel following the procedure, and not push yourself if you are not up to it. This may increase swelling and delay your healing time. It is acceptable to fly approximately a week after the procedure as long as the surgeon has given the okay and you have had adequate postoperative followup.

I would ask this question of your surgeon, just to find out what his or her preference would be.  There really should be no risk to fly after a chin implant is placed or after liposuction of the neck, but your doctor may want you to be around for a few days for follow-up care.
