Tummy Tuck, Explant, Augmentation and Lift?

Not sure if I will have both the BA and BL done at the same time as the explant and tt (possibly w/lipo), but am wondering if everything is done in one operation (or even one breast surgery or the other) will (should) the tummy tuck (and lipo) be the first part of the surgery for the purposes of being better able to gage final decision and outcome of the implant size and shape? Which is typically done first? Thank you...

Breast Augmentation with Mini Ultimate Breast Lift and Tummy Tuck

The first procedure should be the breast surgery. The implant can be removed or if desired replaced. A lift can be done simultaneously using a circumareola incision. There is a new technique called Breast Augmentation with Mini Ultimate Breast, which avoids the vertical scars that are required for other techniques. After the breasts are done, you can undergo an abdominoplasty since both procedures can be done within 6 hours. The advantage of Breast Augmentation... more

Experience counts.

Thanks for sharing. I would leave the order of the surgery up to your plastic surgeon. An experienced surgeon will know how to handle the tissue in the breasts and tummy and give you the appropriate recommendations to achieve your goals. Best wishes - Dr. Aldo.

Combined procedures are safe

Multiple procedures can be safely performed in one setting. But it depends on your health status (past medical history), your anatomy, and the amount of surgery/type of procedures to be done. Your surgeon may recommend an overnight stay depending on the overall length of your procedure(s). Please confirm that your plastic surgeon is board certified plastic surgeon specifically by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. ... more

Which Procedure to do First?

Thank you for your question. Each surgeon differs with their technique but normally, I will do the breast augmentation portion first and then the tummy tuck .. unless I am performing an extended tummy tuck. Talk to the surgeon that you choose and discuss this with him/her. Best wishes.

Surgical priorities in breast augmentation and abdominoplasty

Since the consequences of infection are greater for a breast augmentation I usually do the breast surgery first. But the determining which procedure comes first is certainly a personal choice for each plastic surgeon.

Tummy tuck with or with breast augmentation

The two procedures that you are contemplating, tummy tuck and breast augmentation are often performed at the same time. This can be done safely and there are several advantages to this approach. Your surgeon will have a preference for the order that the procedures are done. In all likelihood he will choose to do the breast augmentation first, followed by liposuction and the tummy tuck. Mommy Makeover Extremely Common

If you are healthy doing both the breast surgery and tummy tuck is ideal and involves less anesthesia time overall, one recovery period and usually lower overall fees. The breast surgery should be done first for sterility issues as well as reasons of positioning, etc. If the breast surgery is well planned there is NO downside to doing a tummy tuck at the same time! Following completion of the breast procedure, the tummy tuck can be performed with "extensive" liposuction" if... more

Tummy Tuck, Explant, Augmentation and Lift

There is not one right way to approach this. The tummy tuck and lipo portion of a mommy makeover definitely change body proportions. When you consider this, it seems logical to do the tummy first. On the other hand, a good plastic surgeon knows how to account for this and some plastic surgeons feel it is better to place the implants first to minimize risk of skin contamination. You can get a great result either way. The key is picking a good board certified plastic surgeon who is able to get... more
