Hi, I am going to see my doctor and he might remove the drain. When do I feel like myself again ? Like pre-surgery? Also I get cold once in Awhile and getting goosebumps. Is this normal ? My tummy feels warm inside like a burning sensation. Also when do I stop worrying that something will go wrong. Pls advice thank u so much!!

Tummy tucks can drain for a long time - sometimes several weeks. It is important not to remove the drain too soon as you can get fluid collecting in the tummy tuck cavity. However it is also important to keep the drain site clean as to not get retrograde infection. If you are experiencing chills and a fever or if your tummy is red or swollen, I would recommend that you see your surgeon as soon as possible.
