Pain and Swelling Few Months After Tummy Tuck and Lipo?

I am 5 months post-op from a great Tummy Tuck plus Lipo to flanks/hips. However, now I am getting abdominal pain, soreness, and swelling that I did not have 3 or 4 months ago. Is this normal? I have stepped up my workouts, but not targetting abs at all. I feel like I need to start wearing my compression garment again just to have the pressure on my abdomen.

You may need recovery time from Tummy Tuck and Lipo

You may be doing too much without the proper conditioning which includes stretching and building your strength and tolerance back into your abdominal muscles which need time to recover from your surgery.

Begin exercises under guidance of a personal trainer

If you had a significant diastasis (muscle separation) prior to the tummy tuck, the orientation of your muscles has changed and this can make workouts uncomfortable until your muslces become accustomed to their new position. Begin an abdominal exercise regimen under the guidance of a certifed personal trainer. It is my own belieft that yoga or Pilates principles of core strngthening will provide you with the most aesthetic appearing abdomen.
