Lack of tightness

Not everyone has severe abdominal tightness after tummy tuck. This would depend on how much tightening was performed and whether you had a muscle repair as opposed to a more limited procedure. I have had patients with extremely short recovery curves and that is wonderful.

Tummy tuck not "tight."

Without photographs or physical examination, only your surgeon can answer this question. Depending on your size and weight, the condition of your abdominal wall, and whether or not your surgeon did a rectus sheath plication (muscle repair), every patient falls on a pretty large bell-shaped curve with pain responses. These can range from "not bad at all" to "OMG, I can't believe it hurts this bad!" Perhaps you have had a wonderful procedure, careful hemostasis,... more
