Pain After Tumescent Liposuction Despite Being Healed

I had Tumescent liposuction on my arms on May 29, 2009. I still have a lot of pain. I am not draining anymore, and the incisions have healed nicely. Is there anything I can do to reduce the pain my arms?

Tumescent Lipo

Continuing to wear the compression garment can help and avoid doing too much activity. Thank you for your question and good luck with everything.

Pain from liposuction, not fully healed

Though you mention you arms are not longer draining you are far from being fully healed. The inflammation will last a bit longer and an over the counter anti-inflammatory is your best bet for comfort. Best of luck, peterejohnsonmd

Liposuction and post-op

You are only a few weeks out from your surgery. It takes several weeks if not months to completely heal from this procedure.  Give it some time and take it easy if you are uncomfortable. If you have a lot of pain you should probably see your doctor to be evaluated.

You are not healed!

I would recommend Advil or other nsaids if you can tolerate them.  You may also want to get massages, warm baths, stretching exercises. You likely still have deep bruising, and it may take a few months to be completely pain free.  Don't get discouraged.   sek
