I'm 7 months post tummy tuck & I know this is odd, but since then have noticed an inability to control flatulence. Why is this?

This is certainly a challenging question. The reasons for your changes in gas habits may be multi factorial. Sometimes your intestinal bacterial content can change after even a short course of antibiotics, which you may have had after surgery. Aditionally, the changes in your abdominal wall may be contributing to this. Ultimately, it is very important that you be seen by your primary care physician and possibly referred to a gastroenterologist or other doctor for further investigation if there is no easy solution.I wish you the best.Dr. Gabbay

I'm sorry to hear about your issues after your TT.  The only thing that would make sense to explain this is that your abdominal wall was likely tightened which could increase your intraabdominal pressure and make it harder to have you intraabdomal gas buildup, making controlling the flatulence more difficult.  Kegel exercises might be able to strengthen your pelvic muscles and perhaps your anal sphincter.  You might check for suggestions from your OB/GYN or PCP.  I think this issue will likely mitigate with time.
